Introduction
Your Quiz Quest (YQQ) is an Orewa based start-up company that is looking to provide interesting, informative and engaging daily quizzes to the people of Orewa.
YQQ Orewa Daily Quiz
There are thousands or more on-line quizzes that you can play at any time, day or night.
However, there are few on-line quizzes where you can play against other competitors at the same time to determine a winner and where you finished in the competition.
For the moment we propose to hold a daily Orewa quiz every day at 11.00 am.
We seek your feedback as to the appropriateness of this time and whether we should also have another daily quiz at say 7.00 pm.
Development of YQQ
In early 2024, the founders of YQQ formed a joint venture with Fuel Design, a leading New Zealand web design company based in Orewa, to design and build a suitable on-line capability to allow many players to play an on-line quiz at the same time.
YQQ currently is seeking to prove the concept by holding various on-line test quizzes.
Playing and Improving the Orewa Daily Quiz
As the testing process continues, we are seeking feedback from players as to how the YQQ quiz could be improved.
The current structure and rules of the YQQ quiz are:
- Each quiz has 15 questions, and you have 15 seconds to answer each question.
- Each quiz costs $0.25 to play.
- Minimum amount to join is $5, this allows you to play 20 quizzes.
- Small daily prizes will be distributed to players(s) with the highest correct answers.
Each Orewa Daily Quiz will begin at 11.00 am and last for approximately 5 minutes.
The system countdown will begin at 10.45 am and there will be a visual clock and various introductions and notices until the beginning of the quiz.
On completion of the quiz there will be notices and a thank you for about 30 seconds and then the result of each player and their performance against the competition will be displayed.
Technology and On-Line Complications
The YQQ quiz has been built to be played on computers, laptops, ipads, iphones and other similar devices.
We have sought to provide an enjoyable user experience to all users. Please let us know if this is not the case and how we can improve.
It is planned that every YQQ quiz begins at 11.00 am. If you are seconds late, you may not be able to complete the entire quiz and your score will be recorded accordingly.
If during the quiz your device goes off-line and you are not permitted to complete all parts of the quiz, please let us know, and if appropriate we will reimburse your playing fee.
YQQ Questions and Answers
It is the aim of YQQ to create questions that are interesting, informative and entertaining.
But it is more important that the questions and answers are also correct, unambiguous and have the least room for argument and debate.
Please let us know if we have provided a question and answer that does not meet the high standards that we seek. We are determined to make each YQQ quiz as fair, equitable and enjoyable as possible.
Other YQQ Quizzes
YQQ is planning to develop specific quizzes for other clients and organisations such as media companies, sporting organisations, charities and retirement villages.
